Default 403 Forbidden error

Hi there,

Been using CJOverkill for a while on some sites and love it. Wanted to start using the first click and skim feature on a blog I run and I am having a problem that I can't figure out.

If I simply use http://www.******.com/out.php it goes to a random trade partner but when I use out.php?f=1&pct=75&url=http://www.whatever.com I am getting...

You don't have permission to access out.php on this server.
Tried different permissions to no avail. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Make sure that you don't have some extravagant htaccess rules.
Also a badly configured mod_security may give this kind of errors.

I'm thinking that mod_security is the issue here... any ideas on how to work around this? I did some google work but couldn't find any answers. Do you know if there is a way to exclude "out.php" from the mod_security filtering?

Cheers!

No idea. Could be the url=something parameter.
You should check with your admin about how to configure mod_security properly.

If it's out.php name related, then you can just rename the out.php to something.php and then point the links on your site to something.php?f=1&pct=75&url=http://www.whatever.com

It was definitely a mod_security issue. I got the host to whitelist the domain and everything seems to be working fine...

Now to figure out how to get these toplists working....
