Default Installing for Joomla 1.5

I had a quick question. I am trying to install the "in.php" file so I can track. Its a little different to add this code to the index file. I keep getting warnings that its not being found. Do I have to upload the in.php file with my template?

You must add the in.php include to the joomla main index.php file and not to the template file

That will fix the problem.
